A Blog About My Blogs… (Yes, Really!)

Well, this is going to be an odd one – a blog about my blogs!

So many of you come in and tell me how much you enjoy reading them, and honestly, it makes me so happy to hear. You say they make you laugh, but still get the point across (the dream combo, really). Hearing that you look forward to them genuinely makes my day – it means I’m not just waffling away into the void.

But here’s the thing… why don’t you comment or like them online?!

Admittedly, it’s not exactly obvious (thank you, website design), but if you scroll down to the very end of a blog, you’ll see a little heart icon. Give it a tap – it won’t bite. And just below that, there’s a space to leave a comment. You can even do it anonymously if you’re shy. Please do, because sometimes I feel like I’m just talking to myself (which, to be fair, I do quite a lot anyway – but still!).

I’d love to hear your thoughts – good or bad, enjoyed or not. Am I getting the topics right? Do you want more science-y skincare? More behind-the-scenes at the clinic? More embarrassing stories about me falling over my own displays? (Yes, that happens.)

Tell Me What You Want, What You Really, Really Want 🎶

Right – let’s talk future blogs. This is where I need you! Because as much as I enjoy chatting away about skin, treatments, and whatever random story pops into my head that week, it would be nice to know what you actually want to hear about.

Do you want the science stuff? Like me in full geek mode explaining why your SPF is basically your best friend for life? Or perhaps you want clinic gossip – not about clients, of course (that’s sacred and top secret!), but maybe tales of me getting tangled in fairy lights during Christmas decorating season, or how many times I’ve nearly set fire to autumn pumpkins with a scented candle.

Maybe you’d like “myth-busting” blogs? You know, the classics:

  • “No, toothpaste is not a spot treatment (unless you like a burnt face).”

  • “No, cucumbers on your eyes will not fix your wrinkles – unless you’re hungry.”

  • “And no, sadly, one facial does not make you look 21 again – if it did, I’d be a millionaire by now.”

Or would you prefer Q&A style? You send me your burning questions – like “why does my skin break out when I eat cheese?” or “can I use my husband’s shower gel on my face?” (spoiler: please don’t) – and I’ll answer them right here in the blog.

And let’s be honest, some of you just want more funny stories. The silly things that happen behind the scenes that I never intend to share but somehow always end up slipping out anyway. Because yes, I do talk to myself, yes, I sing while I’m tidying up, and yes, I once spent an entire morning with a face mask smudged on my cheek without realising.

So – throw me your ideas! What do you want? More skincare tips? More stories? A mixture of both? Or perhaps a new series called “Ali tries it so you don’t have to” – where I test out bizarre beauty trends and then tell you all about it. (Though don’t get too excited, I draw the line at snail slime facials… probably.)

While We’re On Feedback…

On the subject of letting me know how I’m doing – don’t forget reviews! Again, good or bad, I need to know. After each treatment you’ll get an email asking for your thoughts, or you can pop onto the website where there are handy links to leave a Google review.

Google reviews are our favourite, because they help keep Devine Skin at the top of the search results (and we all know if you’re not on page one of Google, you basically don’t exist).

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “If I do that, she’ll get too busy, and I won’t get my preferred slot anymore.” But don’t worry – I always protect my regular clients. Without you, I wouldn’t be here doing what I love, so your slots are safe with me.
