Devine Skin & Laser Salon Policies
Devine Skin New Booking Conditions:
My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been shut, I have completed the new COVID-19 health and safety course and Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry.
If at any stage I feel ill or have symptoms of COVlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately for 14 days and will not open the salon. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled, I will rebook your appointment as soon as I can. If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and
DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Clients will be screened prior to appointment and expected to answer a few questions which will be sent out with appointment reminders. You will be asked:
Have you been tested positive for COVID-19 or been in contact with someone who has in the past 14 days?
Have you been tested for COVID-19 and are currently awaiting results?
Are you or your immediate contacts in a high risk category?
Treatment will be declined & rescheduled to a later date to any client with a positive response. On entry to Devine Skin & Laser Clinic your temperature will taken with a non-contact infrared thermometer. If your temperature is above 37.3ºC (normal range) then you will not be able to enter, and your treatment will be rescheduled to a later date. High risk / vulnerable clients / those with pre-existing medical conditions are advised not to attend for treatments until advised it is safe to do so by the government. Devine Skin & Laser Clinic has the right to refuse treatment to any client in these categories. This is entirely for your safety.
I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please wait in your car until your appointment time. We will text you when we are ready for you to come up to the salon. Please no hugging, kissing or shaking hands. Please do not bring children or friends to your appointment. Please limit the number of belongings you bring into the salon. Coats and bags should be left in the car. Please do not place anything on the beauty bed, shelves or cupboards, please use the bowl provided for phones/keys. Shoes are to be removed and left in the waiting area. I will be leaving longer between appointments as I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common areas, door handles, etc are clean using disinfectant products between each client. All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety. Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during your treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you. We will be using disposable or clean towels for each client. Blankets and pillows will not be used at the present time. Extra PPE and salon cleaning equipment/solutions have been purchased. You will be asked to wash your hands on entering and leaving the salon. Hand sanitiser will also be available for your use. We please ask that you arrive wearing a face mask/face covering. Disposable masks will be available at a small cost. During your treatment we will be wearing masks, visors and disposable aprons. We appreciate during Electrolysis, Facials and some facial treatments you will not be able to wear a mask. In these cases, I will be cleaning the area of skin to be worked on before I commence treatment. I will not wear gloves with some of the treatments as this hinders the treatment. However I will constantly be washing my hands during the treatment. All clients will be expected to wear a disposable hair net. I will provide these free of charge. I can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and my uniform is a priority and assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60ºC. All disposable items are binned/bagged and safely removed from the salon each day.
I have carried out a risk assessment on all clinic treatments and I am confident that we can continue to provide treatments safely with a few tweaks. During your treatment, we understand the importance of hand hygiene and I can ensure you that I will wash my hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of and during all treatments. I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatment, please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.
ATFER YOUR TREATMENT:
I ask politely if you could pay for your treatments in advance by bank transfer or by card. If this is not possible we do have a card machine available in the clinic. The card machine will be disinfected before and after use in front of the client.
I know this all sounds a bit scary but all of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine (and your family and my family). Without these measures I will not be able to re-open safely. Obviously as the government lift restrictions, I will be able to amend and lift restrictions too. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary. Thanks you for your understanding.
